Taiko Together with Manman

Taiko Together utilizes movement, singing, stories, games, and taiko drumming to introduce music to toddlers alongside a parent or familiar adult. This special program is designed and directed by Yeeman Mui (Manman), a certified music educator in the Orff approach. This one-of-a-kind program provides the ideal environment for development of musicality in young children.

Yeeman
Yeeman is a dedicated taiko (Japanese drumming) practitioner, performer and teacher. Yeeman has also been passionately devoted to Orff music education, and completed all the Level I - III courses from San Francisco International Orff in Summer 2013. Taiko and the Orff approach work perfectly with each other as they both celebrate the essence of the mind, body and spirit. In 2012, awarded a one-year fellowship for studying with the Taiko Center of the Pacific (TCP), Yeeman has been working as a performing member and teacher at TCP in Honolulu, Hawaii since then. She started the Taiko for Toddlers program utilizing the Orff approach and spread the joy of taiko and music to many families and young children. Originally from Hong Kong, finished her MPhil in Musicology from University of Hong Kong in 2010, Yeeman has been actively participated in various performing arts activities since 2005 including Japanese Taiko, Balinese Gamelan, and modern dance. Other than working at TCP since 2012. Yeeman has worked as a visiting teacher in Los Angeles Taiko Institute in Feb and March 2015 and started the new program "Taiko Together."
